Product Description

While our cast iron teapot and cups are enough to transport you to times past, the organic teas in this box set are completely imperially rich in flavor. Included are The Golden Monkey, Keemun, Tie Guan Yin, Gyokuro, Long Jing, and White Darjeeling. For your first time use, thoroughly rinse the teapot and cups with hot water and then while they are still warm, wipe them inside and out. From then on its hand wash only with warm water — to maintain your gorgeous cups absolutely no abrasive pads or detergents, and no using the dishwasher. For this time travelling savory journey, its all a manual hands-on experience.

Easy steeping directions: For the best results, do not steep tea bag for more than 8 minutes. Steep for 2-4 minutes at 195°F. For loose leaf iced teas, use 3 tsp per 8oz glass.

And did you know….? Our tea is so amazingly natural that the discarded leaves can be used as compost to feed your garden.

Golden Monkey Tea {Black Tea}: This spring plucking is famously comprised of one leaf and one bud, resembling a monkey paw. Wonderfully fragrant and beautifully twisted golden leaves yield a full-bodied cup of tea, rich with notes of malt and apricot.
Keemun Tea {Black Tea}: Keemun Tea is characterized as the “Burgundy of Teas” this varietal is prized for its dark, toasty flavor and smoky, intense aroma. Steeps an amber liquor and hints of pine and dried plum.
Tie Guan Yin {Oolong Tea}: This Tie Guan Yin tea is painstakingly processed for beautifully shaped vibrantly colored leaves. Steeps a smooth-bodied infusion with accents of sweet orchid flowers and notes of buttery nectar.
Gyokuro {Green Tea}: This sought after gyokuro tea is grown hidden from the sunlight under special bamboo shades to yield dark green leaves and a uniquely fragrant flavor. Slight and sweet with a balanced,delicate finish.
Long Jing {Green Tea}: Masterfully hand shaped while pan-fired, the leaves are folded in on themselves, forming the characteristics sword-like shape. Soft, floral fragrance suggesting freshly cut grass with notes of toasted chestnuts.
White Darjeeling Tea {White Tea}: Regarded as the finest and most unusual tea in the world. A delicate taste and exquisite fragrance with a flowery note of citrus.
