Product Description

They say that different tables require different napkins; the cream linen formal cloth gets the canary-yellow ones, the supper alfresco gets the pastel ones, Christmas dinner gets the green-and-red ones your mother used as did your grandmother before her. But to be honest most of us have our favorites that deep inside we know we could use for any occasion from the most proper to the most absolutely casual. Our Red Paisley Napkins fall into this latter category. The picture of simplicity itself, they wed the warmest of chestnut red with an off-cream, off-gray border to make a combination as timeless as strawberries and cream or port wine and aged Cheddar. Hemstitched for durability and strength, they’re also soft as silk, and they grow even softer the longer and more often they’re used. As are all linens, they’re also very easy to take care of—they don’t take stains very well and what stains they do take come out in a gentle wash. Like all things that are classically beautiful, they make a tasteful place for themselves whatever the setting.
